The Kansas City Wizards did something Saturday no other team has been able to do in the first month of the 2010 Major League Soccer Season -- stop Los Angeles Galaxy forward Edson Buddle from scoring a goal.
After scoring seven goals in four games to set a league record, Buddle and the Galaxy were held scoreless in a 0-0 draw at Community America Ballpark.
Despite the draw, the Galaxy still hold the best record in MLS and in the Western Conference at 4-0-1 with 13 points. Los Angeles hosts the expansion Philadelphia Union at The Home Depot Center next Saturday.
Kansas City, at 2-0-1 with seven points and tied for second in the Eastern Conference with the Columbus Crew (2-0-1) and Chicago Fire (2-2-1) and five points behind the New York Red Bulls (4-1-0, 12) for the conference lead, faces the Houston Dynamo on the road next Saturday.
