The Chicago Red Stars earned their first win of the 2010 Women's Professional Soccer season Saturday as Casey Nogueira scored off a Karen Carney pass in the 64th minute and Cristiane had an unassisted goal six minutes later in a 2-0 shutout of the Boston Breakers at Boston's Harvard Stadium.
Chicago is now 1-2-1 with four points and is in seventh place in the standings. The Red Stars are at league-leading FC Gold Pride this coming Saturday.
Boston is 1-1-2 with five points and tied for fifth place with the St. Louis Athletica (same record) and will be at the Washington Freedom this Saturday at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
